NED THORNE began his career in 2006. His clients as editor and assistant editor include Apple TV+, Blumhouse/Sony, CBS, NBC, Fox, and BET/Paramount, among others. As director and writer (as well as editor), he completed and sold his first feature film, 419, in 2012. He has also written, directed, and edited numerous short films. He is currently based in Los Angeles.

Coyote Vs. Acme - Warner Brothers (2023)

Comedy. Additional editor. After years of failing to catch the Roadrunner thanks in part to constantly mafunctioning Acme products, the indomitable Wile E. Coyote turns to a struggling personal injury attorney to go after Acme in court. With Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor, Wile E. Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, and the Roadrunner.

Rumble Through the Dark (2022) - Screen Media/Universal/Crooked Letter Picture Company (2022)

Drama. A broken-down bare-knuckle fighter in the Mississippi Delta must find the strength to fight one more time in order to satisfy a debt to a local crime boss. With Aaron Eckhart, Bella Thorne, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Kung Fury 2 - Laser Unicorns/Creasun (2020)

Short film. Comedy about two adrift young people who meet in a lonely desert gas station. Directed by Bianca Poletti. With Sophia Ali and Jake Borelli. 

Cannonball - Mad Rogue Films (2019)

Short film. Comedy about a philosophical hitman and his current client, a stressed out lady who may be more connected to him than either of them realize. Directed and co-written by Sean Fredricks. With Trevor Torseth and MJ Brackin.

The Final Wish - Status Media & Entertainment (2018)

Narrative Feature. Horror film about a struggling young lawyer who returns to his hometown upon his father's death. While navigating strained relationships with his mother and his ex-girlfriend, he finds a mysterious ancient urn that seems to be granting his every wish...with horrific results. Silencer - Status Media & Entertainment (2018)

Narrative Feature. Action thriller about a former military sniper-turned-hitman who finds himself drawn back into the life he left behind when a cartel boss threatens his family unless he completes a final job. Directed by Timothy Woodward, Jr. With Johnny Messner, Danny Trejo, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, and Nikki Leigh.

Life With Dog - Home Theatre Films (2018)

Narrative Feature. Drama about a man dealing with the recent loss of his wife, as well as facing down his relationship to Christianity, all while his familiar neighborhood seems to be vanishing around him thanks to encroaching development.  Written and directed by Corbin Bernsen. With Corbin Bernsen, Marilu Henner, and Chelsey Crisp.

Gangster Land - Status Media Entertainment (2018)

Narrative Feature. Crime drama about the rise and fall of "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn in 1920s Chicago, where he served as right hand triggerman to Al Capone. Directed by Timothy Woodward, Jr. Cut several scenes and main trailer; credited as Associate Editor.

Snatched - Lifetime (2017)

Narrative feature. Drama about a couple expecting their first child as they encounter a disturbed gynecologist, who insinuates herself into their lives. Directed by Brian Skiba. With Dina Meyer, Corin Nemec, and Jen Lilley. 

Rottentail - Skibavision (2017)

Narrative feature. Black comedy about a nebbish scientist, who becomes a mutant man-rabbit hybrid, on a quest for revenge against a childhood bully, who has grown up to be a devious revivalist preacher. Directed by Brian Skiba. With Corin Nemec, William McNamara, and Dominque Swain. Created initial cut; credited as Assistant Editor. 

Chokehold - Filmpool (2017)

Narrative feature. Crime/sports drama about a young MMA fighter who works her way through the world of underground fighting to avenge her father's death at the hands of the Russian mafia. Directed by Brian Skiba. With Casper Van Dien, Melissa Croden, Kip Pardue, and Lochlyn Munroe.

Short film. A young woman searches for connection in the California desert, with unexpectedly dark results. Written and directed by Rakefet Abergel.

Sci-fi thriller about a police detective who stumbles onto a scheme to use advanced biotechnology to take remote control of unsuspecting individuals and use their bodies to commit political assassinations. National TV spot for major U.S. bank BBVA Compass featuring high-speed, rhythmically driven cutting built around a world-class musical fingersnapping performance. Broadcast in Spring 2014 on cable networks carrying NBA/WNBA content.

Good Sam (Pilot) - CBS (2021)

Medical Drama. When Dr. Samantha Griffith's father and boss at Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital falls into a coma, she is promoted to the top job, only for her father to recover and wish to continue working, now as her employee. With Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs. 

Kung Fury 2 - Laser Unicorns (2021)

Action comedy. Also additional editor. Hyperstylized 80s action pastiche about a group of Miami supercops versus a time traveling Adolf Hitler as well as a mysterious masked villain with the power to reshape the universe. Based on the hit short film. Directed and co-written by David Sandberg. With David Sandberg, Michael Fassbender, Jorma Taccone, Alexandra Shipp, David Hasselhoff, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

Debris (3 eps) - NBC/Legendary Television (2021)

Sci-fi drama. After an extraterrestrial spacecraft burns up in Earth's atmosphere, a secret government task force is dispatched to recover the debris, which turns out to bestow unnatural powers on anyone who comes into contact with it. With Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, and Nobert Leo Butz.

Clean - Fable House (2020)

Drama. A former criminal enforcer, now living quietly as a garbage collector, is pulled back into his violent ways when he runs afoul of a local drug baron. Directed and co-written by Paul Solet. With Adrien Brody, Glenn Fleshler,  and RZA.  

 

The Gift (2020)

Comedy-drama feature about a Chinese-American family thrown into chaos when teenaged Emma takes her ailing but feisty grandmother on a final road trip form Los Angeles to Carmel. Directed and co-written by Anna Chi. With Joely Fisher, Adrian Pasdar, Lisa Lu, Rochelle Ying, and Sufe Bradshaw.
